Saari, Jarmo

Jarmo Saari (b. 1970) is a Finnish multi-instrumentalist and composer.

He is known for a visual compositional style and layered sound collages made with guitar, vocals, theremin, gamba, trombone and glass harp. His career includes the prestigious Finnish National Suomi Price 2012 for his artistic achievements, cinema and dance scores, concerts in more than 30 different countries and appearances on over 100 albums. Jarmo Saari has worked with Michael Brecker, Anna-Mari Kähärä, Mika Kaurismäki, Britten Sinfonia, Meta4, Rajaton, Trilok Gurtu and Tapiola Choir.
