Hiltunen, Ossi

Ossi W. M. Hiltunen (b. 1998) is a Finnish composer, choir conductor and chorister based in Helsinki, Finland.

Hiltunen started his composition studies at the Sibelius-Academy under the tutelage of Tapio Nevanlinna and has continued his studies with Riikka Talvitie. As a choir conductor Hiltunen has studied with Elisa Huovinen and Jani Sivén. He has also studied classical singing under the tutelage of Rabbe Österholm.

His music has performed by various ensembles in Finland. Hiltunen has recieved in 2018 a recognition grant form Pro Musica foundation and has won two composition competitions. In 2017 Uuno Klami composition competition for kids and youngsters (1st prize in youngsters category) and in 2022 Akademiska Sångföreningen choir composition competition (1st prize).

Currently Hiltunen is working as a choir conductor in Kullervo-kuoro and a chorister in EMO Ensemble.
