John Milne (b. 1954) is an American composer.

Born to British immigrant parents, John grew up in San Francisco, where he sang and composed for early MTV band The Toons. Since moving to Chicago in the 1990s he’s been composing for and singing with three-time Harmony Sweepstakes winners Chicago Voice Exchange. His alt-country band Long Gone Lonesome Boys has amassed over a million downloads on iTunes and Spotify. In recent years he’s branched out into more serious choral writing, and has had numerous pieces published (Pavane, Hal Leonard, J.W. Pepper, choralworks.fi) and performed by many world-class ensembles, including the Svanholm Singers (Sweden), Vespera (Canada), the 18^th Street Singers (Washington D.C.), Pacific Edge Voices (Berkeley CA), Sacra Nova Cathedrale (Milwaukee) and the incredible Tapiola Choir (Finland).
